Cities in the Sky

From Bishop Agobard of Lyon’s city of Magonia (815), to Cloud City on the planet Bespin, in the Star Wars film The Empire Strikes Back (1980), floating cities have sprung from human imagination onto pages and film. I was working with and developing a filter overlay which gives a background of crowded cities, one western and one oriental. I experimented with my own photographs of sky and clouds and the result is this series.
